I would help out. But There is a lot of things that would need to be disabled ; Destruction Catalyst , the thing that turns dirt into glass,etc. And I don't know if there is a way to do that without causing issues with some necessary items of the game (alchemy bags). In my eyes he could take everything away sept for the alchemy bag id be happy, haha.

On a side note It was fun while it lasted, Thanks for letting us try it!.

I dont know, i think it would be cool to keep everyting, just make the server whitelist to weed out the greifers. The map will get destroyed, but whats wrong with that?

Most of the people playing were already Diplos and or Regulars that play on the servers. It still caused some Chaos.

Unfortunately there are too many items on tekkit that can be used for greif/illegal pvp.
I would love to see it back, but I don't have my hopes that high.

I just hope it comes back up, maybe things that are unnecessary could be disabled, it is a fun server indeed and would like to mess around with it more if that chance ever came again, have to say, has things that well the original minecraft I dont ever see having, messing around with the machine's and all that was quite exhilarating, loved the server and hope it stays as a future idea, for now I respect mumbles decision and what the others think about it.

I agree, as long as there is industrialcraft and buildcraft.

the main problem with tekkit on a server is EE (equivalent exchange)

bottom line is the energy condenser breaks the game entirely. pulling diamonds, ores, food, and basicly any item in the game out of thin air is dumb imo. after approx 6 hours of focused work, you can have one of these operational to the point of never needing to do anything again except run around dumping items on people. this is the first thing that needs to go.

granted with Industrial craft, the same end can be reached, but it take MUCH MUCH more effort and time (weeks of work and massive ammounts of power and materials)

(the transmute table is fine IMO because you have to have something to put into it to get a set ammount of stuff out.)

the alchemy bag + repair tablet is amazing, but i think it is OK because of how slow it works. you would need basicly 2 of each tool depending on how much you use it.

philosopher's stone use ability must be turned off.

destruction catalyst should be either turned off or restricted to diplo/other respectable rank.

i know there is much more. but these few basic things would help alleviate and ballance the game overall.


now onto what mumble said:

way too many people griefing (particularly with philosopher's stone's). Way too many people went straight for end game EE stuff, particularly condensers, and had an insane advantage over those who went for industrial craft builds.

when mumble tried to balance it out, so many people comlained it was rediculous. it was everywhere. in TS, in IRC. in ingame chat.... everyone complaining, and everyone sick of hearing the complaining. so mumble shut it off.

the bottom line: Its gone now, i had fun on it while it lasted. will it come back? only mumble knows, and pestering him about it is the wrong way to go.

the moral: You dont really know what you had until it is gone.

Well, this question being directed at mumblerit, how do you feel about continuing the server, and simply taking out EE altogether? i think that would be the best way, and it would allow people to focus on building with industrialcraft instead of flying around with rings and shooting fireballs. The complaining might be a problem, but it shouldnt be too hard to deal with.

he tried that JC, and he got about 20 complaints in about 10 seconds after he turned it off. hence why he shut it down entirely
